Apply to Small Planning Grant Program by April 1, 2016

The Detroit Community-Academic Research Center (Detroit URC) is now accepting applications to our Click for DetailsSmall Planning Grants Program, which fosters new collaborative research in Detroit. The grants will support the establishment of new community-academic partnerships and new collaborative research efforts through two types of grants: 1) Partnership Formation & Maintenance and 2) Project Development.

WomenWalkToddler webWe are delighted to announce that the Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR) Communities Engagement Program is helping to support this Small Planning Grant Program in Detroit. For partnerships NOT based in Detroit funding is available through the MICHR Community University Partnership Seed (CUPS) Program. These funds are administered through MICHR Communities Engagement Program.

The Detroit URC expects to award up to $10,000 in small planning grants in this round. Grants may be funded up to a maximum amount of $5,000 with a grant period duration of up to one year. Academic researchers and community organizations interested in engaging in collaborative research in Detroit are encouraged to apply.
