Save the date: NSO Handlebars for the Homeless Fundraiser
Handlebars for the Homeless is a guided bike tour that highlights Detroit’s hidden treasures. The tour begins and ends at the NSO Bell Building located at 882 Oakman Blvd. in Detroit (former historic Michigan Bell Building). Our route is approximately 17 miles and includes one planned midway stop, while guiding cyclists through some of Detroit’s most beautiful areas including the campuses of the University of Detroit Mercy and Marygrove College; Sherwood Forest, Boston Edison and Palmer Park neighborhoods as well as the Live6 Alliance area. The ride is fully supported with seasoned bicyclists, professional bike mechanics and EMTs.
REGISTRATION FEES*
Teams of 10 plus Mbrs: $25/person · Teams of 4-9 Mbrs: $30/person · Individuals: $35/person
After July 22nd and onsite, all registration fees are $40/person

Save the date: DHDC Gaz N Grafs Fundraiser
Detroit Hispanic Development Corporatin Gaz N Grafs Fundraiser coming up in August!
Gaz & Grafs is DHDC’s annual fundraiser to raise money for the youth programs’ end of summer camping trip. This event is a graffiti art & car show, family affair. For many of our youth leaving Southwest Detroit is something they have never experienced, much less go camping. Every year on the 7th week of our summer program DHDC takes up to 60 youth on 4 day 3 night camping trip. This trip is almost entirely paid for through philanthropy and the Gaz & Grafs event. This years event is set to be held on August 4th, 2019 from 12pm-5pm. The event will also comprise of a Graffiti Art Battle, teams of artist will come out a week before the event and paint new murals on the back of our building where the event will take place. We hope you can come out and enjoy this years event and help send a deserving youth to camp!

7th Annual CHASS 5K and Kid's Bubble Run
Get ready for the 7th Annual CHASS 5K and Kid's Bubble Run!
The 7th Annual CHASS Mexicantown 5K Run/Walk/Kids Bubble Race is open to individuals of all ages and abilities! In addition to the walk/run to, and around, beautiful Clark Park, the day will include something for all ages and fitness levels:

Proceeds from the race will support CHASS’ Healthy Living Programs and Reach Out and Read Initiative. Our Healthy Living Programs provide free education and physical activity classes to the community. Reach Out and Read supports childhood literacy through the distribution of books to children age 6 months to 5 years at each Well-Child visit. Over the past three years, we've given out more than 3,000 free books!

CHASS clients can obtain race registration forms online or at CHASS' Southwest Center. Please complete a form for each participant. Completed forms and registration fees can be returned to the Welcome Desk inside the Center or mailed to Race Registration, CHASS Center, 5635 West Fort Street, Detroit, MI 48209. Please make checks payable to CHASS Center.
