Scholarships Available for CBPR Summer Short Course
The Detroit Community-Academic Urban Research Center (Detroit URC) is providing up to five scholarships to a week-long summer short course, Methods in Community-Based Participatory Research for Health (Epid 783), from July 13 - 17, 2015.This summer course, which is is being offered through the University of Michigan School of Public Health in Ann Arbor, will be taught over the course of five half-days by a team of ten trainers (five university researchers and five Detroit-based partners). To be eligible, individuals must be affiliated with a Detroit community-based organization or health and human services agency and be interested in building their organization's capacity to engage in collaborative health research. A total of five community-based organization members will be selected for the scholarship, which will cover the $575 tuition fee (for non-credit seeking students).
